What to Expect in Your First Class

  • No experience needed

    We welcome complete beginners and teach fundamentals from day one.

  • What to wear

    Comfortable athletic clothing (t-shirt and sweatpants). Gi uniforms available for purchase.

  • Arrive 10 minutes early

    Time to meet your instructor, tour the facility, and get oriented.

  • Respectful environment

    We emphasize discipline, respect, and mutual support in all classes.

  • Have fun!

    Judo is challenging but rewarding. Enjoy the journey and make new friends.

Frequently Asked Questions

No experience is required! We welcome complete beginners and provide instruction from the ground up. Our coaches are experienced in teaching students of all levels, from first-timers to advanced judokas.

For your first few classes, wear comfortable athletic clothing like a t-shirt and sweatpants. Once you decide to continue, you'll need a judo gi (uniform), which can be purchased through the club or at martial arts supply stores.

We offer programs for Junior (4-5 years), Tiger Age (6-9 years), Middle (10-12 years), and Senior (13+ years, including adults). Each age group has dedicated class times tailored to their developmental stage and skill level.

Absolutely! We encourage prospective students to observe or participate in a trial class. Contact us to schedule your visit and we'll make sure you feel welcome and informed about our program.
